I have a 5000 sustain and have used a 4000 ci4 stradic I much preferred the sustain and my local tackle store have had a few stradic scam back.
sustain is also great for chasing longtails

Caught on a sustain 5000, stradic are a very good basic real too but the sustain is great. (The old Penn in the pic is my bait jig rod).

The Sustain has a bearing under the spool and two bearings in the handle. I have both and if you can get a really good deal on a Sustain then go for it but not at over $100 extra.

I agree with Davo I believe the Sustain is a better reel but maybe it comes down to what you can afford check the tackle stores for deals.
