Caught Saturday 27th June. Pretty satisfying way to start my holidays!

Nice effort there. Good to see some nice size fish coming from the bay. Wish the weather would play ball. Trying to line up good weather and days off is just not happening for me ATM.

Secret spot Jeremy???

Actually it was too windy for my plan A so I went to plan B. Fished there heaps of times before as have hundreds of others and I have only caught one nice snapper from that spot before. No secret - I just ain't giving it away ;D

There was heaps of bait, rising tide, good barometric pressure, S-SE winds and virtually nobody else around (due to the wind?).

Due to the lack of nob on the head, would that imply they are resident bay fish?

Nice fish mate, my photo quality is not great but is that a jig head in the first fish's mouth?

Cheers

Yes, the 68 cm fish was taken on a plastic, the 87 cm fish was taken on bait.

Went 8.3 kg when I weighed it. I have only ever caught one bigger.

Top work mate. Just goes to show you've got to be in it to win it. If you wait for the perfect flat days you generally don't get great results. Sometimes you just have to back yourself and give it a crack. Top effort.
