Went out Saturday morning chasing tuna. Plenty of fish about from the sandhills to 4 beacons. They were very flighty and we worked hard just to get a hook up. Ended up with a mac tuna and a long tail and hooking up to two others. After a 15 - 20 min fight and about a km of chasing the long tail we had the dreaded feeling of weight on the end of the line but no fight. Sure enough the sharks had stopped by for dinner. By the look of the head we estimated the fish to be around 12-15kg. (any guesses?)
Got back to the ramp and in the car minutes before the heavens opened.
second time I took the new 570 Topender with a yammy 150 4 stroke out and I couldn't be happier. Boat handles well and gets to the spots in no time.
