Had another go this morning.
Took a run down to redcliffe to try and get me a snapper.

turned out to be a great day on water, but fish won again.

Just kick back, feet up, had the yammy 50 cruising along at 45 kph, radio blasting, feeling very relaxed.

Got 1 small squire arond 30cm mark, had 1 good run, busted off once, then got hit buy something that just took, line, rod and reel.

That was a bummer.

i saw a guy in a kyack catch a red emperior. He kept it. I thought it looked around 35-40cm mark. I watched him bring it in.

Started to get bit choppy about 8.30 then just died.

came home about 9.30 , the same way i got there, feet up, music blasting and cruising around 45 kph. Great run back to Woody point.

might've been a little nannygai greg. They have been showing up a bit lately.
See anyone chasing prawns?
Don't suppose you got the rod back?

I was out too. Got a squire that was 1cm below the mark, so sadly tossed him back. Got about 6 of the small 20 - 30 size.

Managed a good feed of sandcrabs however - 9 legal size males, plus 3 returns. Not bad for me on my own, 4 pots for about 2 hours in the water :).

Yep thats right.
netter was still out there when i was fishing.
He came over to me to tell me where his net was.

Apparently someone knocked of his car and trailer on Tuesday night from shield st ramp.

I know these guys have to make a living but I really can't believe that they are still allowed to run nets through such vulnerable areas :-?
