Due to supposed wind forecast for this morning, decided to try the pine for whiting so bought a few worms saturday.
Not much wind this morning and could have hit the Redcliffe reefs but had to use the worms anyway,
so went to the old faithful spot in the pine and got these few whiting & home by 9am. best went 37cm.
Cheers Pete

Well done Pete. I'm heading out tomorrow for a prawn and a fish so hopefully I will follow your lead and get a couple. That said, the whiting have always been very elusive for me in the Pine.

Hey guy's how'd you go?
I think the Pine trick is fish light, fish shallow, small hooks, be patient when they bite and feed out line. above all don't waste the worms at high and low tide when the small bream come out to play. no run no fun. Pete

Pete,
I didn't go too well. Only got a dozen or so bananas and a similar number of greasies. Fished the live prawns upstream but only got catties, moved to the mouth and fished around the trawler near Dohles for one take home bream and a few just unders. Also got a small sandy in the pots so not complaining too much.
Best of all it was like a meet & greet. Got to catch up with Freeedom & Kingcray and introduced to a few new faces.
Hopefully I will get out again once the weather settles down.
Dave
