What a beautiful couple of days on the water we had this weekend (especially today)!

Not that we caught any fish of note, one keeper bream, one throw-back whiting, 2 plump looking flatties (both of which broke off literally beside the boat), and a spectacular display by a tarpon who got plenty of air and of course spat the placcy.

Throw in a bit of engine trouble >:(, and plenty of clumsiness in the boat due to lack of recent practice for good measure...HOWEVER after a pretty dodgy 18 months of almost no fishing (and getting so disconnected from it that we didn't even keep track of Ausfish :-[ ) it felt great to be fishing regardless of the results ;D.

It was also get the boat into the Pumicestone Passage now that we have moved up to the Caloundra area.

Looking forward to getting to know this stretch of water as well as we knew our previous local waterway (the Pine River).

Thanks for the replies.

Looking forward to being more active on the forums again now that we've got life back to a bit of balance- (IF we have a say in it we will be keeping it this way).

Good to see you back on the water Tim and Trace ,
We went through the same sort of thing for about 12 months.
Working 80 to 90 hours a week trying to finish a 21 storey in South Brisbane.
Hope you are both settling in to your new home , and get to spend more time on the water .
Will get in touch soon.
The Boss says to say hello.

Hi Shawn, we hope life has settled down for you too, it has a way of getting out of control doesn't it?!
It'd great to catch up sometime and hear of your exploits while we have been away. Hope you've been catching some fish.

Say "Hi" to Trudy for us, we hope she's well too.
