Hello all,
I've started fishing out the front of Turkey Beach and around to Bustard head area. Have been getting a few mackerel but struggling to get any reefies. I know its a big ask, but would anyone be willing to PM me a mark or two. Not expecting anyone's top shelf marks but maybe something from the bottom shelf, or even the throw-out bin would do. Thanks.

Plot a course to LM or Fitzroy and watch your sounder. This is all you need to catch reefies in that area or any area. We filled 2 boxes with reefies on the last trip.

pm sent.

If you line the light house up with the point in front (pancake creek) and head away from the lighthose you should pick up some marks there. I used to have some in my other boat but mainly fish lamont now

What Wannabefishing said. Line Clews Pt light up with Bustard Head light and draw a line out from Janson's Rock. A line of reef extends directly out from Jansons out to about 19m of water. Put a marker float out and drift it. From 19m it comes up to 14m. We have caught scarlets there along with cod, snapper, spanish and in the early days they even used to catch red throat emperor and coral trout in the creek itself. These days it is more morwong and trevally in the rocky holes of the creek.
