Another PB!!

Headed out into the passage this morning in search of anything with fins and scales. Launched at diamond head and headed to my spoit. Flicked some plastics around and scored a little bream early just as the sun started to poke up.

I kept at it but it was pretty quiet so I paddled down to the jew hole. There were a few tinnys there chasing jew and threadies. I rocked up and fired off a cast into the channel near the red beacon. Hopping my placcy back to the yak and boom got hammered on the gulp 3inch curl tail on my 6lb set up. The nearest tinny with a couple of young blokes watched my have fun for the next couple of minutes battling with what was on the other end of the line then it revealed itself with a bit of aerial work.... TARPON... and a decent one. I had hooked a few before but had always lost them... Heart was pounding as I kept playing it out. At one stage there was a stale mate as he sat deep under the yak and then he sped to the surface and jumped again. Wasnt long after that I had him subdued and into the net. He went 53cms. PB tarpon for me. The young blokes werent too impressed and fired up there outboard and sped of... hahahahaa.... sorry boys.

I kept at it andended up with a few flatones of no real size. Alot of snot weed in the passage at the moment.

Everything went back for the day.

I do believe i was about 50metres away from you at one point, were you opposite bells in the inlet on bribie side then moved furthur south?

Awesome once again, Funchy! I hope the snot weed moves on - something tells me it'll get a whole lot worse if this El Nino develops. I remember it being shocking up north during the last El Nino.

Will defs say hi next time i see you floating around, are you aware of the jew hole opposite bells? in my opinion it has produced more for me then the actual jew hole further down the passage.

I'm buying I pilot in about a month when i get some coin together ill give you a run chasing some fish, might be a good break off the paddle!
