Where can I get flexible lead weight straps like the ones the yanks sell for duck fishing? Like these but in Oz?

Also has anyone used the Lindy Buoys for marking in Moreton or similar chop and current. I'm thinking of getting them and adding more weight.

cheers

Used to have lead wire in the fish tank to hold down the seaweed. I have seen lead straps at times too. Maybe try a pet store?May'be the ones I mentioned would be too light. If you got stuck, you could always buy a strip of plumbers solder and hammer it flat

Yea, just cut up some sheet lead. I haven't used a marker buoy since I started using a plotter

I just use a length of chain on my marker buoy. Haven't used it for years but still carry it horse.

Thanks Gents. Sometimes in the bay with wind one way hard and current the other, I find my drifts dont always consistently hit the mark on the GPS.

Do you run your chart north up? Its the only way to get consistency

No course up. I assume that's why it can't orientate when I am stationary or on a very slow drift...i know, i know, I should go north up!
