Fished a bit of local reef today with the missus and kids and had a cracker day. Plenty of blistering runs, bustoffs and some really nice fish landed.
All fish caught on mullet fillets and whole pillies in 3-4mtrs of water. Considering all the boat and jetski traffic, the fish were still very aggressive, strangely the best bite times at this spot are between 8am - midday. Today it was the run-in tide. We left them biting at 11am.
Best fish 68 and 73cm 8-)

Great catch kingcray, they go hard on the light gear, will have to do some homework on the green zones and give them a go seeing as I nearby at Albany creek.

Well done Deano!! Do you try plastics at all for them? I find the 4inch curl tail Zmans in white work well.

Funchy yes mate caught plenty in the area on plastics, mainly small ones, but when taking the missus and kids more chance of finding fish berleying up and using fresh baits. Too hard to drift amongst all the boats as well
