102597Myself and the lad ventured off from Scarby ramp around 2 am. For a nice uneventfull trip to the shallows of northern Moreton Island. Fished the shallows using un wieghted baits for a fair bit of action with squire, grassies and mossies perch- mostly undersize- only a few keepers. Still fun in the shallows. Heaps of small squid seen. day break time to move on.
Out for a troll around the easternface Flinders with a large mac tuna there. Further out to Hutchies- conditions very good. We had a double hook up on some macks there. X raps/ halco laser pro 190 - qantas colours. Boated both- :). A bit of bait fishing - releasing a few undersize assorted fish there.
Headed back to the bay - had a look at Tanga wrecks- wow - so many boats - gave it miss. The vote was homeward bound around lunchtime102596102595- ramp uncluttered but obvious a huge crowd out- car park and surrounds full. Easter and everyone taking advantage of the great conditions and how lucky we are to be in this part of the world.
All the best for easter guy and gals.
