Hope everybody had a great easter, we had my son , his wife and 2 grand daughters coming over for a feed of fish Friday ( and my scotch) so Friday morning we headed for Toorbul to see if we could rustle up a feed of flathead, so many boats and my god so many floats. crab pots everywhere, anyway the conditions were perfect and the fish played the game with 5 coming home to join us for dinner, couldn't resist heading out again today as I though people would be home with the kids for easter, nope no way , the passage was chockers, jumpinpin must have been very busy as well, anyway today I went a tad lighter using a 1-3kg pflueger, 1000 stradic loaded with 3kg and 8lb leader and little paddle tails on a no2 jighead, had a ball on the lighter gear landing 2 around 63cm and 2 smaller models, the fish were close in to the weed on the edges of the banks exposed at low tide..102592102591

This is the little paddle tail that did the damage, I thought I might have had a bream or 2 take it as when I fished the pin area it was a good plastic for bream but apart from a few bream hits I didn't get a single bream..

that's a great effort alleycat any time let alone with all the boat traffic you would've had out there. Cant beat a feed of flatties.

Nice stuff Al, can't beat fresh flatties. So I'm thinking no holes in the landing net.
