Despite the cyclone up north, we had quite a nice window on Friday/Saturday. The wave buoy was less than a metre, but the period was only about four seconds, so the run out was a bumpy two and a half hours. Best fish were on the turn of the tide, probably because of how much lead it took to get to the bottom mid tide. Running with the swell the trip home was only an hour forty.
One of my better days so far, with the exception of turning my nice new Fin-Nor rod into a two piece!
Cheers
