Ok

I'm looking at upgrading my fast spinning reel with a stradic. Is there a difference between a 4000fj and 5000fj in retrieval rates.
The reel will be replacing my trust TSS 4

The main reason is a rod

4ooofj comes with a free rod and 5000fj doesn't

Hi mate

i have the Stradic 5000fj and really like it.

the 4000 retrieves at 99cm per crank and the 5000 retrieves at 104cm per crank.

the 4000 has 9kg Max drag vs the 5000 11kg Max drag.

What are you going up using this reel for? I have mine paired with a terez and use it in the bay for throwing metals.

Yea, what are you using it for and what breaking strain are you going to run. What rod is it going to sit on?

I didn't think the FJ's had a spare spool at all. My 2500 doesn't have one. Interesting that you are replacing a reel with on approximately half it's size?
