With the boat going in for a service tomorrow I thought id slip out last night and see what was happening
Hit the water at 7.30pm, around to the bridge for some bait and up to the usual spot.
I was only there for 30 min and bang im on..... not a really big one but geez he went hard,,,,
Siting back taking it all in when I noticed the line , which id left with a little slack, tighten up. Not a hit, but just like if a muddie had picked it up and was going for a walk. then it went slack again so I didn't think any more of it.
About 2 min later it tighten up again but the line had moved from the first spot and this time it just kept getting tighter. By this time MJ he knew he was it trouble and really went for it. I had to pull back on the rod to relieve the pressure to get it out of the holder...With the big penn with nearly a metre retrieval per wind it did'nt take long to get Mr Red netter and in the boat.
Had 2 more hits but no hook up till 52cm flat one took a liking to a whole herring.
Not long after I headed up the seaway and didn't lose a bait.....
Took the pic of the seaway and called it quits102379
Heading out again fri and sat nights so ill be hoping for a repeat performance..
