Cut a lap of moreton from top to bottom yesterday starting at Hutchies.Got there about a half hour after first light in great conditions to find around 10 boats already there. After all this bad weather obviously everyone was keen to get out for a fish.Didnt bother dropping a bait just did a few laps trolling for zip before I left the crowd.Headed out to the 70/80m line and worked my way south through the day bottom bashing for a good mixed feed of our bag of squire/snapper,half a dozen pearlies to 60cm,parrot,pig fish and Moses.Released quite a few legal squire also chasing better quality.Finished up at 33 wavebouy and had some fun trolling up a heap of dollies but most undersized.Came in through the middle passage of the bar and surfed a big wave most of the way through for an uneventful crossing in fairly big conditions.home around 5ish

Great catch there. Do you realize the CSIRO buoy on the 33s is inside the Green Zone?

Why isn't there any FAD's offshore from Moreton? That wave rider buoy off Straddie is miles away.

Very good question. It seems to be the game clubs that put them in. The red tape would probably strangle an individual trying to get through the process. I don't know why CSIRO stuck theirs just inside the zone

There a a couple of homemade fads out there but your only likely to bump into them if you are venturing out past the 100m line
