I have a Garmin 759s chartplotter (18 months old) which seems to have stopped receiving satellite data, as it does not display any positional or speed data.
Who does Gamin repairs in Brisbane??

You will find that all repairs are carried out in Sydney. As Megabite suggested get in contact with Wayne.

If it has an external aerial, trace that cable back for damages before you send it in. Also, if you routinely remove the unit from your boat, check one of the pins in the connector has not broken off or folded over.

I will gladly stand corrected if I am wrong but I do not think they repair Garmin units in Australia but rather replace the faulty head unit with a refurbished one. I had my 750s replaced in this manner requiring a very simple repair concerning the SD card entry. Most Garmin marine products carry a 2 year warranty so you should be good.

M8 I had a similar problem with my hummingbird and found that a wire going into the dome that receives signals had broken where the dome and the gunnel of the boat met had broken. It was not visible unless U layed down on the deck. Suggest U check this.

I don't seem to be able to send a pm to kittycat.
How do I get access to the pm system?
