On ski's I would drift with 7 inch gulps or 5 inch z-mans have a rod in the holder with a bait jig or a lucanus jig either live bait or lucky while drifting 1-2ounce jig heads on run in/out tide you will only have a 1-2 hour window to use 1/2 ounce jig heads hope that helps
