Hey,
Got a 99 model Yamaha GP1200 cheap as a bit of a fixer upper.
Runs well, recently rebuilt.
Drama is it fills with water pretty quick. I found a dodgy patch on the bottom, cut if off and repaired it properly.
Water still pours in.
Filled the hull in the back yard and found water pouring out of the jet inlet grill.
Decided to remove the jet unit and have a look.
Won't come off. Read that this is pretty common as the splines can get locked in pretty hard, might need some force.
Tried that, didn't want to break it so stopped.
Now is there anyone that is handy with a Jetski that would be interested in taking a look, or does anyone know someone who could? Will obviously compensate for your trouble...
Let me know. Have a few days off, so can help out, can bring to you, or do at my place.
Cheers
Glen
