I have had a couple trips to deep water bend / Dholes rocks area this week. Most were donuts -but a few of legal sandcrabs and a nice sized Dusky. Lots of undersize Buck mudcrabs and more white floats than BCF. I did catch the biggest Jenny I've seen for years - 21cm - when I saw it come up in the pot - you little beauty - then turn the pot over - you rotton mongrel. Anyway that fishing - also caught a few small stingrays, they are fun on light gear. Seems to be plenty of small Duskies around as well as rat bream.

Those big jennies can be a heart breaker when you 1st get a glimpse of them. I hate it when you feel a good weight in the pot as you retrieve it but it turns out to be a few of those blue jelly-fish.
Watch where you park your car and trailer down there Wazza, it's a bit dodgy at times. The more out in the open the better.

We had a OK day there on Saturday, got a decent Flattie at 60cm with a few more smaller models, a flounder and a whiting on hard bodies.
Cruising back around Deep Water bend at a low speed due to boats launching etc and encountered a Bullie jumping clean out of the water, full length. Not a big fish but a first all the same. Scared the hell out of the 2 of us as it launched only 4mtrs from the rail of my small tinnie!
Never witnessed that before in the flesh so it was an eye opener.

Chaspion i have seen this happen on numerous occasions usually just before a storm is about to hit. Certainly makes you think why would you want to ski am swim in the pine.
