headed out from Clontarf on sunrise this morning with a mate to chase a few sandies, they started off slow but we had a good run for about an hour, ended up with 28 keepers, a lot of unders and jennies also today.
Bait was mullet, tailor frames and some old pillies,
Best depth by far was 1-1.5mtrs , bugger all in 3mtr +
Was too windy for fishing lures, so we had a fish with pillies and caught 3 baby sharks which looked to be bronze whalers and a wobbygong. No snapper today although there are a few getting caught in the area
Cheers Dean

Dean,
You did well on the sandies mate.
It's all trial and error where they are, just like prawns, they move around a bit I've found

Kingcray,
Yeah, bloody oath I am. As you know there has been some rain of late, tiger prawns will be first up before bananas, that's what I've experienced last 3 years. I'd say probably late January or middle February they might start to appear but very scattered until later in the year.
