Looking at getting a few rods for trolling for pelagics. I have plenty of longer bottom bashing live fibres but find them too soft in the tip for trolling hardbodies. What rods do you recommend for TLD15, TLD25 and TLD30 2 Speed? Would be using 8kg, 10kg and 15kg. What length rods are best?

For a straight trolling rod you could do a lot worse than look at the T-Curve Tiagra Game rods. Good components and well built

Tiagra Tcurves, or Shimano Triton series if on a budget

Not sure if they still make them but I had a couple of Shimano Backbone rods at 15kg and 24kg and they were great little rods for many years. Lately I've just been using my spare bottom bashing rods, if anything the flex in the tip helps absorb the fishes runs, and when not trolling with guests you've got some more bottom fishing outfits to hand around.

I've got a broomstick of an old ugly stick though that trolls really well and is a live-bait rod, horrible to bottom fish with though.
