I had the opportunity to take my four year old whiting fishing land based whiting fishing in the Broadwater. While there was no 38 cm thumper for him this time, he still managed a feed. You certainly don't need a boat and can fish gentlemen's hours to get a feed in the Broadwater.

Lovely stuff. Reminds me of my son catching a big catfish down at Breakfast Creek, and having it go close to pulling him into the creek. Lucky he was sitting down. Thank you for that video.

It was his first fish. He was about the same age as your son.

It doesn't get much better than that Daryl. A nice day at the beach and the young fella pulling a nice feed of Tings. Can you please remind me why I use a couple of hundred dollars worth of fuel most trips

Great to see your son enjoying the fishing.
Like Horse just said we spend many dollars going offshore when the fish are in our own back yard..lol

I do love offshore fishing as well, but at the moment just pottering around the beach in sight of the boat ramp keeps me and the little fella happy.
