Great unit, but personally the 5012 Touch screen is easier to use,

Had the 4010 and it was a good unit but the 4000 series is old technology now.

I upgraded to the 7012 and there is a marked difference between the two units and not just because of the screen size or the touch screen. The 7000 series has a lightning fast processor which makes it a dream to use.

Hey mate.....I originally bought the 4010 and a Garmin 18HD radar from epal, an online Yankee site and they were great to deal with but when I upgraded the 4010 to a 7012 recently I got it from Trymax Marine in Brisbane.

Sort of related .... I see BCF has the superseded 750s on sale for $900, down from $1250. I know everybody raved about them when they came out but are they still OK now? Seems like a good price for the features you get

Hey BigJudge, I recently upgraded to a Garmin 5012 touch screen, great unit and I love it. It cost me $2750 incl g2 vis card, from Trymax marine at capalaba, they are great to deal with and now their stuff. I will be adding radar to it in near future, give em a call, you won't be disappointed.
Cheers Mark

I have the 750s next to a 4008 unit........the 750 is miles faster at chart re-draw.........the 4008 is a good unit though and more than happy with both.

Fellas I have been mucking around with measurements, the 7012/5012 is realy a bit to big for the room I have,so what is the 750 range like and what is the biggest screen size you can get,I think 7' is the max.
