hey all. the new tinnie had been wired with speaker wire so ive pulled it all out and have started running 4mm wire to the switches already installed but have read that a busbar is the way to go to make it easyer to expand if the need arises . if I do this the cable to the bus bar needs to be better than 4mm? and do I need a fuse between the busbar and battery?
sorry total newby to wiring
thanx

Main fuse between buss bar and battery, then individual fuses to separate devices.

Depends what you are running. 4mm is standard.

No need to go any bigger than 10amp main fuse....if anything blows that, then you will need to look again at your wiring.
Most apparatus that you will run generally use up to 5amp only, with some being as low as 1amp....so a 10amp main fuse will be plenty.
Cheers, Ray.
