Bay Trip Sunday 22/9

Been a while since I've taken my boat out (about 5 weeks) as I have been lucky enough to go out in mates boats and not have to worry about washing mine down. Downside is I hadn't been catching much of interest so thought I better take the tinny out for a run and see what we could rustle up.

Took the gf out in the bay yesterday nice and early and met up with a few other mates in their boats a bit later on. Managed to pull a 65cm snap and one smaller one before my mates arrived and one of them got a 45cm one which we thought might be a bit bigger due to the way it was fighting.

Both of my fish were caught on a zman jerk shad and one of bazza's pink 4/0 heads and my mate got his on a yellow 4/0 bazza jighead and atomic plastic.

Was a good day out until the wind picked up which meant a nice and sloppy run back from Peel after lunch.

Hey mate Yeah I saw two nitros yesterday one had a 60 on the back and the other seemed like it had a fair hit more grunt was that you? How did you go?

Haha mine was the one with the 60!
Got 1 at 77(bay pb for me)and 6-7 mid40s
Just sold the boat so was the last trip in it:-(

Ah nice one you must be sad to see it go. I love the nitros my mate used to have a z7 was pretty loose punching around dams at 110km/hr. The other one I saw was flying around the place wasn't sure if that was yours as I couldn't remember the colours. That's a good haul I didn't see too many people catching much plus it got a bit busier later on. Was a cracker of a morning until the wind picked up later but thankfully we were on the way home.

Well done mate some very nice snaps there did you get them around Peel???? We were over at Mud yesterday and got none picked up a grassy and a nice size Bream but not one snap.
