Hi all,
What a great day yesterday. The Bay was amazing. Nice gentle northerly to keep it cool. At Harry At' there were some nice fish showing, but not nudges. Up the Rouse, a trawler sitting right on a spot I like over the coffee rock, but nothing on the sounder. Drifted the Hope Banks - no whiting, just some very nice cows of the sea. Over the Peel. Each Reef Ball was clearly visible on the Furuno, and several had layers of fish near them that looked like school jew. Some had some tasty red blobs right on them, that looked to be snapper. My mate got a hook up and bust off on a plastic drifting and I didnt get a touch all day. Hardly anyone out there which was sweet, but for me they were shut down. Mate of mine was up and down the bay also and got a big zero on bait.
BUT a bad day fishing beats a good day at work!
