Took a run over to the Rous this morning. Mate and i bagged out.

Quality wasnt as good as last week but still some nice ones amongst them.

There were plenty there. Could have caught a 100.

Anyway, they are on ice and clean and fillet in the morning.
cheers

Might be an obvious question - winteries? On lightly weighted worms or...?

Darren, surprisinly good. I think only about 20 boats spread over a wide area. Even harrys only had about 15 boats on it .
Where we were fishing, only one other boat

Well done, Greg
I was out at Mud Island yesterday arvo for a few hrs.
Only one other boat in the entire area.

Later found a show of baitfish on the eastern side in 5m and tried all sorts of things for an hour there. BIG zero there sorry.
Only fish I saw were up one of the little creeks that I ventured into.

And took photos of the little creek, if anyone is interested.
Came back really cold and struggled to stand up and get off the ski at the boat ramp. Do you wear a full wet suit?

Well good luck. Hey have u seen they have tken all the beacons out from hayes inlet?

Hi pauly. It was bloody cold out there this morning as well. I hate wearing wet suit. Just wear track dacks and thermal shirt, couple jumpers. Lol

You will have to come chasing whiting mate.

Cheers

The sign at the boat ramp says that Hayes inlet is closed for navigation due to shoaling and rocks. Guess they are covering their arses.

Yes they are. Apparentlya couple of tinnies have hit the rocks going under the bridge recently and this has causedit. I saw the sign.

Hey pauly, if u wanta catch whiting over at the Rousor Sandhills, dont need worms, just strips of squid.

Cheers

I was fishing the western end of Rous closer to the shallow and bank in the middle. It was a good drift yesterday basically west to east in no more than about 4 meters of water.

Lots of Flatties around too - got 5 but kept 1 not huge but nice to eats as well.

Only one grinner and one pike so good to see a lack of vermin around!

Where were you?
