Hi guys,
According to the directions on the bottle you can use Salt Off on reels, anyone tried it, any dramas with using it on braid/mono?!?
Thanks.

I've used Salt-off for a few years on rods, reels and trailer - no problems at all

Guys if you are unsure use lanolin and it does not affect braid or mono or Fluro as it is made from sheepskin wool grease which is not a petroleum based

Another thumbs up here too.
Never had an issue and I think if you spend a lot of money on a good rod and/or reel, then you're crazy not to use the stuff.

We have been using Salt away for 2 or 3 years now and notice no difference with our braid. It costs a bit but we spray it on anything and everything marine. I add a little to a bottle of detergent to blend in with a pressure sprayer and do the boat and especially trailer and brakes as well as a special attachment to flush the motor with. A small amount in an old spray bottle for the fishing gear. It has affected absolutly nothing except the salt. It has no adverse affect on braid that we have noticed.
