Hi all, have had a great run at mud this week. These photos are highlights from Wednesday, Saturday and this arvo each session around 3 hours.
All caught on the drift. First time out on the Bay for a while.
10pound braid & 10 pound Leader.
Cheers

Well done Richo some quality fish.
The pic of the 3 rods in holder - assume you are letting the wind and chop do the action for you to the jigs?
5-6m deep areas?
Thanks for posting

Caught in 10m of water, with nothing much showing on the sounder (flat bottom). Cast them out and drifting at around .4 of a knot. Very lazy fishing just sit back and wait for a strike!

Loving the Merc 40 4stroke motor, goes great. Due for its 100hr service soon - boat is awesome too - Clark pursuit 427.
First and today's trip solo, Saturday was with Sam who bagged the 80cm on his first cast of the day.

I went out on friday with not much luck for a few undersizers! I fished the 5-7m sections with soft plastics. I couldnt find much deeper water than that and if i did i thought that i was too far from the island...

Were you fishing the eastern side or western

Fishing on the North Eastern side, couldn't get any decent bites in water less than 6m of water. Had to be patient and just drift and wait. Every now and then I'd pull one of the lines in and recast.

My mate Sam (in photo) made it up for me. It's one of ones that fit into your rod holders with the base cut off - from whitworths I think. Clamp is the type they sell with bait boards etc.
Works a treat and not too bulky shift it around to suit.
