Salmon - when and where?

Hi All,

Does anyone know how far up the coast the salmon run and when they run? I am in Brisbane and would love to chase a few around. They make great eating too if you cook them right in a smoker.;)

Given right Winter conditions you'll get Australian Salmon from Ballina right through to North Straddie, not sure about Moreton Island.

I caught a few off Tallows beach 2 weeks back when I was holidaying there. They put up a good fight for their size.
