Thought id share a few of the better fish from the last couple of months.
The fishing has been pretty consistant the last couple of months with a fair few different species hitting the deck. Some nice jew, cod, trevs, snapps and a few other randoms. Heaps of bream on topwater in the bay and a few starting to school up in the deeper water down towards the pin. The fish schooling up in deeper water have been loving the TT Switchblades in 1/8 and 1/4 with the odd jew mixed in with them making for good fun on the lighter gear.
Most of the bigger jew have been falling to 5in mcarthy shads with the odd trev jumping on them aswell. Also been alot of pan sized snapper getting around the reef edges which have also been smacking the little vibes. Just make sure you run at least a 10lb leader when throwing them as some of the better quality fish will take them deep or sometimes hit that aggresivly that they will pop a 4lb leader like cotton. Also a good idea to upgrade the smaller trebles with some stronger singles or doubles.
A lot of quality fish being caught during daylight hours which has been a welcomed surprise.
With alot of variety available atm, why wouldnt you want to be out fishing the bay. Get out and get amoungst em.
Cheers Whytey
