Went down to Pottsville this morning and had a fish on the beach.
Had a go with the plastics rod and Thready Buster vibe.

Got two flatties, one 45 one 47 (yeah and one little one that put a good hole in my finger).
Was half expecting a Tailor to show up, they often hit anything that moves, would have bit me off anyway.
Good fun in the surf :)
forgot to use the phone app.

I also had a crack at some larger plastics, this one is 8 inch on a 1oz (different rod), was just playing for a Jewie but don't really think it was Jew territory. Had 3 come back like this so I'm guessing choppers, yet never hooked one.
Would end up quite expensive If you do this all day. ::)
I could not get any takers on a metal slugg and it cast a hell of a lot further out..
Yeah and it was nice to see some beach flattys, apparently they have not been showing up too often.
Hey but with the beach surf and sun who cares if you catch anything ;)
Plenty of dart on pippis (yeah if I find a few under my feet Ill change rig and have a crack), but I don't know how to clean and cook them, so just happy with two falttys.

nice one dan, maybe a tailor but the flatties will chomp a plastic up like that no probs.
The dart are great eating as long as they are bled straight away and kept on ice. Whole, filleted however you like.

Try a stinger hook in the plastics when that happens. Just a treble tied to either the shaft of the jig head hook or the eye and run down to where it's being bitten.

was goign to suggest the same as mattooty, stingers have saved me from donuts many a time. Nice one mattooty!
