blooded the new combo

hi all. did the trip to mud this morning. haven't been there for a while now with crabs and prawns taking up all my time. went via harry atkinson for zip and pulled up at mud about 8.30am. bagged a 74 at 9.30am on my new combo - 2-4kg dropshot with an abu omega 2500 spin reel loaded with 6lb braid and 12lb leader. outfit performed very well.

After 3 months trying with soft plastics I still haven't caught a damn thing.

Not blaming sp's because I am a newbie and probably wouldn't of caught on bait either.

It was depressing for me at Mud yesterday seeing the Fisheries checking other people's eskys but no need to check mine.

At least you've shown me that they are out there.... somewhere.

Think its algae Bruce ,comes from spending to much time on the water. Saw your car at wello this morning while cartoon head and I were getting rid of some fish frames. Nice fish mate.

oh, my bearded, chicken winged, little buddy. you have such a short memory::). if I wasn't such a nice bloke and took you out to catch MY snapper, then YOU would still be fishing that stinky river and "mossy's reef" would still be just one of my unnamed spots. (no offence to those who enjoy the aroma of the brizzy). you should be getting into the fish oil now to prevent the early onset of alzheimers;D

too right. after reading lancairs post on a good deckie, i still remember our first trip. you were late::) AND i had to take you home early because you were cold and wet::)::). that was just before you got your smurf suit;D
