Macleay Island yesterday

Have rexently started night shift so i thought i would make the most of that beautiful morning yesterday. Hit vic point boat ramp at about 5am and cruised over a glassed out bay to macleay island. Get to my spot, drop the leccy down to realise ive left my remote at home so had to drift cast which was fine as hardly any wind or tide. Few casts to figure out my drift pattern with no luck for a grinner and a few undersized squire. Decided to move a little deeper and first drift and first cast, fish on and straight in the esky at 38cm. Then as im making a few more casts the deadsticked zman goes off with a nice 46cm. Thanks to mossy as i kept hearing about this znan deadsticking and monkey see monkey do. Stuck around for another hour or so and headed back in with enough time to clean the boat and have a snooze before heading off to work.911469114791148

Mid week is always best as hardly any boats around. After work im always keen for a beer Hahaha but if weather permitted i probably would..
