So, after trolling through all the usual weather prediction sites I found one that said the weather may be bareable up this way so I gave Shagga a shout and we agreed to meet at the Bells Creek boat ramp at 5am. Shagga was there on time and away we went! Bottom of the tide was planned for 5:30am ish and top around 11am. Weather was perfect!! Wilyweather had it right!!

Decision was made to fish the beacons until the sun came up.... no good. Moved over to another spot. After a while score!! Mid fifties flatty. Dinner!!

After a short time another fish hits the deck mid twenties bream :thumbsup:

Decided to start working over the weed beds in front of the mangroves where "some" anglers have had some success in recent times. :o;D


After a number of throwing SP's around I was onto another flatone around the same size!! Into the keeper net with the other for dinner (We ate last weeks on Tuesday) :D

Gday funchy, had a mate pick me up at toorbul at 6am today, we spent 4 hours flicking the banks at low tide for 1 small flathead, perfect conditions but very very slow, where are they?, i also tried out a new blade, got 2 casts in before i tried to cast it with the bail arm closed, ping!! there goes 14$, dammit talking too much..

Hey mate, bugger bout the blade :(

We had to work hard for them but have found they are hanging in tight to the mangrove line. IT is a PITA managing the weed but worth the persistence. Good luck mate.
