Bust offs,Bazza & beer :)

Well with the shit weather closing once again a plan was struck to blood the Evo & check some new ground in the bay.
So over to Bazza "Dayoo" to top up my Jig heads Then off at 4am this morning cruising across the bay searching for action.
Pick down over mark baits over & rod tip followed, looks like I have a snag straight up ? hang on its moving, Slowly then it stops back in his hole Bang. 10 mins later same thing around prop then under boat :(

Sick of putting new leaders on I grab the trusty Zmans give them a lick of uncle Baz to smarten them up & over the side after a couple of keeper squire & many unders zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz a short struggle later a little 76 ;) hits the deck !!!!;D

you little ripper what a first session, the big fella fishing livies, bait & sp's out the other side watched his 10kg phlueger buckle over and scream drag Bang rod Snapped in butt piece than bricked him, my mate was back.
few more under size and a Tiger shark later we headed off to beat the storm, great day :)

Can I ask is that ZMan a 3.75 or 5" and what sized/weight jig head were you using?

Also, what sized braid, rod, reel etc?

You have achieved my goal for a plastics ... serious snap so that's why the questions.

Mal no problems mate 5" baby bass Zman jig head was a new 5/8" proto type Baz asked me to test for him so I suppose they work :)
4-10kg live fibre graphite rod with 5000 rarenium spoiled with 20lb braid and 20lb fc Rock leader rapala loop knot and not much drag pulled half the spool before I turned it with a bit if thumb.
To be honest it's the first fish and biggest I have pulled in the bay with a glow jig head.got a few hits on the shimmer 5" as well no other colour worked.hope this helps mate
