Why are they so cheap out of Malaysia? Like the non-Japan TLDs and an inferior product, or a tax reason? About $200 saving..Cheers.

I worked in Malaysia for nearly a year, and Tica is a very popular brand over there. Shimano and Daiwa are luxury items, that most fisherman can't afford. I guess the importers bring them in and try to inflate the price based on them being Stella and Saltiga alternatives, when really, they aren't.

thanks, yeah I saw the review which is what made me interested, on his lists he rated it as the best offshore budget reel..
