Hi guys,
I know the weather's not great but on the off chance there's a window of opportunity or things improve a bit, I was hoping to jump aboard a charter for a fish, ideally out of Port Douglas, in the coming days whilst I'm up here for work.
Can anyone recommend a good charter operator? Would prefer to do some offshore fishing (light tackle or game - although can't see conditions improving enough for that). Best option might be to fish inner reefs and wrecks for macks and GTs.
Reef closure starts tomorrow right?
All help & tips greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Herby

Thanks guys :)
Has anyone had any good personal experiences with either mob?
I've read a few mixed reviews online about Dragon Lady Charters although their website looks the goods.
Looks like the weather & odds are against me. Oh well, fingers crossed.

Hmmmmm looks like neither of those 2 are heading out this week due to repairs being carried out or preparations for a trip up north.
Can anyone suggest any other decent charter operators in the area?
Thanks,
Herby

Had a booking with Dragon Lady when I was up there in December which was cancelled last minute as they cited engine problems, personally I think they just didn't have enough customers to make it worthwhile on the day. They did put me on the Norseman though, these guys worked pretty hard on what was a tough days fishing.
They also had plenty of locals on board on my particular day who were repeat customers who could not say enough good things about the captain and crew, this is a sign of a good operator in my opinion.....
