Mate , head out to the artificials at curtain , the ledge at bulwer or around the beacons, assuming this may be one of your first trips in the bay keep it simple and fish the well known haunts.
There's better spots but on its day these spots can fish very well and are easy to 'sound out' and what I believe a good start.

Live baiting curtin artificial on the tide changes, better on a dusk change, was where i started finding the better fish. Western rocks on top of moreton, live baiting on the tide changes. Trolling skirts around hutchies, or float lining. Basically look for bait on the sounder, jig it up and drop it back down, 1 under a balloon about 2m below the surface, another on the bottom 8 ball sinker with a 1m trace to an 8/0 hook.
