A mate of mate just caught this week in the pine river a strange looking crab, similar colour to mudcrab, different shape carapace with a jet black tip about 1 1/2 inches on each claw.

Does anyone know what species is or has anyone seen these before?
We contacted fisheries but they were not interested and gave us a website address... Not much help at all...

Anyways Happy Crabbing! I'm getting back out there!

Peace

Rock crab?

How wide was the carapace?

Was gunna say Stone crabs look like a muddy and have the black tips but we don't get them here..

We get them here in gladstone too mate. Don't get very big though. I have thought about keeping them for bluebone bait..
