Checked out the Pine this morning about 5.00 a.m. to see if the bream have returned after the flood. Plenty of salt in the river at high tide and much more debris in the water than last week, which was a bit of a surprise. Plenty of bream to be had, but not much quality about them. Caught 22 but only kept 6 - best about 30cm. Only found 1 undersize lizard, but thankfully did not catch a single catfish. Got a bit lumpy at the Redcliffe bridges with the wind SSE reaching 20 knots and the odd heavy shower. Quit about 9.00.

Thanks Freeeedom. Did you happen to get any prawns or livies for bait? I was looking at heading out tomorrow maybe but might try Caboolture instead.

No Dave - I didn't try for any live bait or prawns. I wanted to catch the top of the tide and the turn so I went straight to the bridges using frozen bait. I had a look for the prawns last week but couldn't find a single one. I'll have another go for them next week. They've got to arrive soon you'd think.
