Well my boy and I went out saturday to chase some muddies that have been washed out. on the water at 5 and started dropping the pots at Deep water bend working them until we get crabs. my 10 year old got 4 catties for the pots within 15mins while driffting the flats. no crabs here so went to the mouth and worked them again for Donut. went under the bridges for some shade and left the pots next to us for a good hour. pulled up 3 undersize bucks and 1 fat jennie. wind picked up so we called it quitts. choppy ride back to the ramp. home by 11 and face the missues with any empty esky. drowned my sorrows in beers while washing the boat.

Thanks for the info. Came across the Pine on the way home this afternoon and it didn't look too bad - although it was on high tide which probably helps.

Hopefully it will clean itself up in the next few days.

You need to be outside the leaders for the Pine river at the moment, even as far as Woody Point. I know of one reasonable mud crab catch from in front of woody point last Saturday.
The dam has not released 10% of its volume, it has released down to the 90% level, plus the inflows of all the rain we just had plus the 14 gigs just prior to the rains when the lowered the dam level in preparation. In reality NPD probably dumped the equivalent of 50% of its storage capacity and retained zero of the recent rains.

At first glance of the thread name I thought it said "Donut from the dirty Pipe" what's this guy fishing for... Then my mind crept up from the gutter.
