After fishing all around the bay, we decided to give Scarborough a go. Started quiet, with heaps of Moses Perch, Bream and small Squire on offer. Early afternoon and my partners rod takes off, she leans into it and eventually lands her 1st snapper of reasonable size. We only have the old ruler to 40cm and guessed it was 5cm better than that. Soon after she landed a second snap, this time around 42cm.
Just when everything had settled and got rather boring, my rod screamed off. Fearing a shark or ray , I managed to turn it, to my surprise it was a grassy around 43cm, soon after I managed another snapper of 39cm.
It was pretty breezie and was quite choppy, but worth it. All fish were taken on squid and mullet fillets.
