TREVELLY

Well I went out Sunday 4am from Scarby to Hutchies - slow run into a stiff NE - trip usually takes one hour - took two hours doing 20-25kph.
Got to Hutchies and trolled for about 15 minutes then a strike on the green jethead - hookup lasted about 15 seconds then it was off.
We looked at the lure and yes it was a razorgang hit.
Trolled about for another couple of hours for zip but located and marked some small schools of baitfish and kept working about them and not too far away just looking about.
Trolled hardbodies for an hour for zip.
Went to jetheads again and set sail for wreck further offshore - got 500m and another hit this time I accelerate to set the hooks. Mates FIL can't get out the rod from holder ;D - well I hooked it well. :P 20 seconds later it's off - what the . . . . retrieve the lure to find plastic coated multistrand wire trace failed at the hook and hook gone . . . . grrrr - now I am going to rerig all my prerigged Williamsons jetheads - that was a reasonable fish.
Trolled about for more time but no luck.
Tried fishing the offshore wreck but current and wind made it impossible.
Trolled from Hutchies down past Brennan SHoals and offshore half way to Tempest then back again - followed a promising scum line along with a couple of other boats for zip.
Went home about 3pm.
The guys asked how we should split the fish - I generously told them they could have the entire catch :P
It was a warm day but windy and bumpy - had worse days offshore but never caught less :D
Had a couple of teething issues with boat (motor trim and tabs) but structurally the boat was fine.
I think I am two trips about 350km and about $500 in fuel for one nannygai - I am on a roll ;D
The electric was handy for a teaser out the back - nothing touched it but.
Water temperature 26.9 everywhere east and north off Moreton and 27.2 in the bay.
It was windy.
Did anyone else get out and do any good??
