Nagg, i like reading your reports on light-ish gear, your thoughts on the Daiwa heartland z 591 LXS sii matched with a 2500 sol, fishing for bream/whiting, second hand and as new condition so it says, going cheapish will have a look at it on Saturday
Cheers

I'm not over familiar with the heartland (they have a good reputation as a mid price stock rod ) - but (personally) I question matching a sub 6ft light (4-6lb) rod with a 2500 size reel . It would probably feel unbalanced .... a 1500 size reel would be a better match.
Sorry I cant really offer much more

Chris

Hi Nagg, went to have a look at the rod/reel today, the combo was in perfect condition so i brought it, yes as you said reel was a bit heavy for the light rod, he also had the stradic C14 1000 also as new in box spooled with 2lb braid, couldn't help myself as the price was just too good to pass so i got that also.......Cheers for your feed back mate

Hi Chris, fitted the stradic last night and went for a fish early this morning, what a great balanced little outfit, using sp and landed a small flathead (28-30cm) good workout on 2lb very very happy with it, thanks again
