Hey guys. Has anyone out there found a good fishing pack pack? Maybe with a rod holder of two? I'm land based and it's nice to be able to load up and go walkabout without having to hold onto everything. Cheers in advance.

i used to use a pack that had one strap over the shoulder.....easy on and off.....was more about the tackle box/system u used to store tackle inside that mattered.
of course having a knife/mutitool on your belt, lip grippers in a sheath in the belt or chest strap of the bag......you know, all the things you need in a hurry when u get a strike.....easy access.....
i used to a lot of bass fishing land based along creeks.... a lot of light, head torched etc when fishing of a night.....red lens helps avoids mozzies....
ive seen eskies/rod holders/buckets on frames that you can walk on wheels for concrete paths and such, would take a lot of weight and hassel off the back and maybe better layed out for quick access.
i use a fly fishers box for my soft plastic jig heads......grouped in size and weight.....a few of each and you can carry a shit load for all different conditions in a box not much bigger that a samsung g3.

Yer I have a over the shoulder one now. And when plastic fishing I can just about do anything without putting anything on the ground. Except it just gets a bit weighted on one side and would prefer it in backpack form so it distributes the weight a bit better over my back. I saw a rogue branded one a while back for 99 bucks at Bcf. Had rod holders. But I want it to be easy access too.

I use a belt for longer wading sessions, I slip the rod butt inside the belt whilst re rigging. I take one rod only when wading but have all the gear to be able to fish several line weights in the one belt plus a pile of lures and plastics and all the necessary tools required. There are dedicated belt mounted rod holders around, I never found the need for it though. I throw a wader bag over the shoulder for the fish if I decide to take any.

You don't need to take all your fishing gear when you walk the bank, less is best.
I chucked in a elastic bandage in case of snakebite....... and water.
