I have been using 8lb Fireline on my bass gear but I am finding I get bugger all distance casting lighter lures like the SX40 or the smaller bugs. Just wondering what you guys recommend in that 8lb range to get better distance ??

Cheers

berkley nano is far superior to fireline for casting distance. Spent half the day getting small lures out of the trees.

Paulus's Tasline is by far the best line I have ever used and it casts better than the famed Nanofil.

daiwa hyper tournament PE . CRAZY thin for its breaking strain.

Also throw in varivas seabass in the grey 8 strand. stupidly thin also.
