You may recall the first thread "Major Mitchell weave" well here is the finished rod I made for the wife as her christmas present. (she loved it, thank god) so now im in the good books for a while.

Yep Owen thats for sure, we are heading up on the 5th for a week and then again at Easter for the girls comp and of course October fish where it is boys only.

Thanks Mark, I used the red maderia thats in the underbinds a darker red maderia and a pale gold metallic and then black over
