Hi,
I started this rod a long time ago (12 months +) and completed the dec wrap and guides. Then picked it up again a few months ago and did the grips, but didn't get to gluing it up. I finally finished it last week, and fished it on the weekend. It landed a small shark that put it through its paces nicely. That felt good!
My New Years Resolution will be to make more rods in 2013! And finish them in 2013!!

Great to see your back into the groove Dave, nice work a always. No point compaining about not finishing rods. I have plenty with just the grips glued on. I own all of one rod that is complete and several more that need coating. When you do it every day the last thing you want to do is build more rods for yourself.

Nice work Dave!
Your output is somewhere near mine :)
I have one I started a year ago that still hasn't got guides.

lol, sounds like I'm not alone in dragging the chain!
I underwent some life-changing surgery earlier this year and it made me think about life and priorities. So I'm pretty keen now to do more of what makes me happy rather than constantly putting it off.
I love seeing pics of everyone's work. I hope to be able to return the favour more often.
new motto: life is short, wrap hard!

I think you need some little jigheads with gold hooks for that rod Dave.
They're sitting on the kitchen bench for you :)
It's good to see your feeling a lot better.

It must be a universal affliction. Bloody hard to find the time as always knackered after work! Weeknds with kids stuff...whew!!!!!! think I have about 3 on the go and another 5 blanks waiting. I don't suppose anyone has an unused Aftco Lightweight roller Black/Gold in size 2.....I cant finish my 4-5kg light game rod until I get one more guide......didnt really want to put in another large order at Mudhole...ha.
Thanks guys...and Happy Christmas to all
